ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL REMINDER
The Board would like to remind homeowners that adherence to the Parish Deed Restrictions is very important to the property values and the quality of life within our subdivision.
The Architectural Control Deeds are some of the most important. These govern such items as Pools, Patio Covers, Storage Sheds, Gazebos, Awnings, External Painting and other external maintenance and additions to your home.
While home improvements are encouraged, external changes and additions do require the prior approval of the WPHOA Board Architectural Control Committee (ACC).
If you have made permanent external improvements or changes to your home already, without obtaining ACC approval, please submit a completed Architectural Control Form to High Sierra Management so that our files can be updated.
If you are planning future improvements or changes, please go to the Forms Page on this web site and complete the Architectural Control Form and mail it to High Sierra. Effective immediate, approval should be obtained prior to the commencement of any new project.
If you have lost your copy of the WPHOA Deed Restrictions, which should have been furnished to you at closing, and would like a complete set, please contact High Sierra Management for a copy.
NOTE: The attached file is just an overview. Homeowners should refer to their official copy of the deed restrictions prior to submitting the ACC form.

If you have a boat, trailer of an RV parked in your driveway for any other reason that temporary cleaning or maintenance - please remove it and store it off site. If you have garbage cans visible from the street please store them in your garage or behind your house. If your yard is overgrown please mow, edge and trim trees and bushes. These and other Deed Restrictions are law - registered with the County, and legally enforcable by the Parish. Please help us maintain our property values by adhering to the Deed Restrictions. Legal enforcement of Deed Restrictions is paid for out of annual dues. Every cent we pay our Attorneys impacts the Parish budget. In financial year 2005, we paid our Attorneys over $15,000 to collect unpaid annual dues and to enforce Deed Restriction violations. In simple terms, this means that the annual dues of 45 homeowners have been diverted from much needed Parish expenses and maintenance funds to pay legal fees. If you recieve a warning letter, please don't ignore it. If you believe it to be unfair or there are extenuating circumstances, please contact Crest Management or any Board Member to discuss the situation - we will support you and work with you on every occasion.
